Slough to Windsor Run 29th December 2024

Start of the Journey
On the 29th of December 2024, I embarked on an invigorating run from the Premier Inn located on Uxbridge Road, Slough. This route took me through the picturesque landscapes surrounding Eton College and across the iconic Windsor Bridge. As I ran along Thames Street, I was greeted with the magnificent sight of Windsor Castle to my left, showcasing its timeless beauty.

The Scenic Pathway
Turning left into Park Street led me to the Cambridge Gate of Windsor Castle. The atmosphere was invigorating, with a mix of history and nature all around. After enjoying a moment near the castle, I retraced my steps back to the Windsor Bridge, ensuring my return route reflected the same stunning views. Venturing left along Thames Side, I passed the Windsor Leisure Centre, a familiar landmark, and entered the tunnel under the A332 road.

Completing the Loop
A quick right turn onto the path adjacent to the Queen Elizabeth Bridge further enhanced the experience. Here, I paused to appreciate the vibrant Younger Bridge Mural before continuing along the peaceful Thames path. Running through Brocas Park and back into Eton, I then retraced my initial route toward Slough. The run concluded with an anti-clockwise circuit of Upton Court Park, passing the Slough Rugby Club, and ultimately returning to my start at Premier Inn, feeling accomplished and rejuvenated.
