A Scenic Running Journey Along the Thames Path
Introduction to My December Run
On the 24th of December 2024, I embarked on a refreshing running exercise that took me along the beautiful Thames Path. Starting at Putney Bridge, I felt a sense of excitement as I prepared for my journey. The route promised not only a workout but stunning views and a serene atmosphere.
Exploring Wandsworth Park and Beyond
After setting off from Putney Bridge, I ran towards Fulham Railway Bridge. I ascended the steps and crossed over to Deodar Road, leading me into Wandsworth Park. This park provided a perfect spot for a quick run-around, surrounded by lush greenery and a peaceful ambiance. Following my lap around the park, I retraced my steps back over the railway bridge, enjoying the momentum of the exercise.
Continuing Towards Hammersmith Bridge
As I continued my run, I made my way through the underpass, entering Bishop’s Park. The beautiful scenery alongside the Thames path was a joy to behold, enhancing my running experience. I ventured past Fulham FC’s iconic Craven Cottage Football Ground before continuing my run toward Hammersmith Bridge. The sight of the bridge motivated me to pick up my pace, and I relished the feeling of accomplishment as I ran across it.
Reflection on a Joyful Experience
After crossing Hammersmith Bridge, I decided to walk back to Putney Bridge, allowing my body to cool down and reflect on the lovely exercise. This running journey along the Thames Path was not only a great way to stay active but also provided a peaceful escape in the midst of the holiday season.
