A Memorable Bicycle Ride Through Market Drayton and Beyond
Overview of the Journey
On the 3rd of November, 2024, I embarked on a bicycle ride covering a distance of 35.83 kilometers. The total time for this ride was 1 hour, 46 minutes, and 38 seconds. Starting from the bustling Market Drayton, I ventured through various picturesque locations until reaching my final destination.
Route Details
The route began in Market Drayton and took me to Longford, where I enjoyed the tranquility of the countryside. Continuing onward, I passed through Moreton Say, Calverhall, Ightfield, Ash Parva, and Ash Magna. Each area offered stunning views and a sense of peacefulness that made the journey pleasant.
Arrival at St. Alkmund’s Church
My ride concluded at St. Alkmund’s Church in Whitchurch. This beautiful church provided a perfect backdrop for a couple of photographs, capturing the essence of my trip. After a brief pause, I cycled back to Market Drayton, taking a left at the Olde Jack Inn at Calverhall into New Street Lane. The descent down Styche Bank (near Styche Hall) was particularly thrilling, then travelled through Longslow and returned to my starting point in Market Drayton.
This bicycle ride was not just about distance and time; it was a journey filled with sights and moments that enriched my day. If you’re looking for an invigorating cycling experience, consider this route next time!
